Technical assistance and operations means technical support to the customer during the realisation of projects having their background in any of our business fields (usually) over a longer period of time. Other than in clearly defined projects where the tasks are usually known and planned beforehand these technical support projects are characterised by their high flexibility as a large number of problems may only arise in the course of the project and are often not predictable at its start.
TTK offers assistance for a vast range of larger and smaller (technical) questions and is able to make use of further know-how e.g. by way of co-operation with the experts from Albtal-Verkehrs-Gesellschaft (local operator).
When booking project management services customers benefit from TTK's varied experience in the realisation of complex projects. They will profit from a reliable estimation of design and time requirements.
Consulting here also includes the provision of support to local and regional authorities concerning railway specific internal structures, processes and respective requirements (e.g. planning and railway crossing agreements).
Operations is another core competence area. Our team in this field has significant experience which is continuously enhanced by numerous international projects. The team is supported by powerful software tools such as iPLAN, the static tool for the development of rail timetables and estimation of line capacity (www.irfp.de), and OpenTrack (www.opentrack.ch), which TTK uses predominantly for the simulation of Tram, Light Rail and Tramtrain systems.
