National and international research projects allow the contribution of experiences gained in participation therin also in all other areas of activity. Main focus here is rail transport. Interesting aspects have also been studied in the area of urban development and its interdependency with traffic and transport as well as in the area of the change of demand structure after the introduction of rail-bound services.
The co-operation with a large number of differing international partners significantly enriches project work. The exchange of know-how in research at the same time provides valuable contributions to other projects by way of in-house knowledge transfer.
