Transport planning & urban development

TTK’s business field Traffic Planning and Urban Development offers an integrated approach across multiple areas, ranging from transport master planning and local transport planning to regional transport concepts, coherence between transport planning and urban development to new mobility concepts. TTK is actively involved in all these fields – from local to long-distance transport concepts at all scale levels:

District level

Cities / metropolitan area

Region

National

International

Current developments in the field of mobility such as mobility management or the creation of hierarchical bicycle and pedestrian networks are playing an increasingly important role in the field of transport planning and urban development.

TTK uses the transport model VISUM, an adequate tool which allows us to realistically model future travel demand covering different modes of transport, including public transport, motorised private transport as well as bicycle and pedestrian traffic.
