TransportTechnologie-Consult Karlsruhe GmbH (TTK) was established in August 1996 by its two main shareholders Planung Transport und Verkehr AG (PTV AG) of Karlsruhe and Albtal-Verkehrs-Gesellschaft mbH (AVG). The company is based in Karlsruhe.
The company was founded to create an independent company for the market segment "rail-bound public transport" using, on the one hand, PTV's experience in the consultancy and software businesses and, on the other hand, AVG's operator know-how, especially in the area of tracksharing between light and heavy rail.
With at present 27 employees TTK has established itself on the European market with projects in France having been carried out right from the start. The positive development of the French market led to the foundation of a Lyon office in 2002.
TTK sees itself as a German-French business. Related to the extension of TTK activities in Great Britain 2005 also brought the opening of a London bureau.
