As part of the modernization of bus operations in Karlsruhe, a parking and charging facility for electric buses was created, supplemented by a workshop hall for utility and service vehicles and a washing hall.
TTK has been involved in the project since 2022, from planning to local construction supervision of the outdoor facilities. Our tasks included, among other things:

• Planning drainage systems, underground cable construction, the empty conduit system, and supply lines
• Planning traffic, installation, and parking areas
• Monitoring the execution to ensure that individual system components comply with the implementation planning
• Documenting the construction process

All objects and system components belonging to the outdoor facilities were constructed in two separate phases. From mid-February 2022 to mid-August 2022, the main focus was on the construction of underground drainage systems. Once work on other trades had been completed, work on the outdoor facilities continued in September 2023. In several construction phases, the southern area for bus loading was completed first, followed by the east side of the workshop hall and finally the west side.

This is an exciting project that demonstrates how Karlsruhe is consistently investing in electric and sustainable mobility, and we are delighted to have contributed our expertise.
